Adjusted Grade: 40
Track Record: Morales was one of the best prospects available in the 2024 international class and signed with the Dodgers on Jan. 15. He starred in the Dominican Summer League, where he posted an OPS of 1.169. After a slow start stateside in the Arizona Complex League, Morales turned it on in the latter half of the 2025 season and finished with nine home runs. He stayed hot in the Low-A California League, swatting five home runs in 30 games with Rancho Cucamonga.
Scouting Report: No matter where Morales winds up on the diamond, the bulk of his value will be tied to his offense. He’s got plenty of thunder in his bat, but an over-aggressive approach led to slightly below-average miss rates. Scouts noted a particular need to tighten his zone against spin and with two strikes. Once he improved in those areas, his fortunes turned and he began putting his raw strength to good use on pitches he could damage. He was one of just six players 18 or younger who clubbed 14 or more home runs in 2025. Scouts are near universal in their belief that Morales will not stick at shortstop. His above-average arm would play just fine at third base, but if he gets too big for the dirt, his arm would also fit well in right field. He has average speed for now, but even if he slows down a tick, he should be serviceable in the outfield. His offensive package would fit a corner profile. Scouts also raved about Morales’ makeup and the strong leadership qualities he showed at such a young age.
The Future: Morales is likely to split his 2026 season between the Class A levels, with a chance at his Double-A debut late in the season if everything goes well. He has all the tools to mash, but his final defensive home remains a question.

BA Grade/Risk: 55/Extreme.
Track Record: Morales was the jewel of the Dodgers’ 2024 international signing class and then performed like it in his pro debut. He ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Dominican Summer League thanks to an offensive output which included league highs in home runs (14) and OPS (1.169).
Scouting Report: Morales is powerfully built and has plenty of room to add more strength to a frame that already produces plenty of thump, including a 90th percentile exit velocity of 102.6 mph. Evaluators believe Morales will eventually produce a power-over-hit profile, though he has the potential to earn at least average grades as a pure hitter. The Dodgers worked with Morales this past season to improve his hand path and keep his upper and lower halves connected. With little doubt about Morales’ offensive upside, the bigger question is where he’ll wind up on the diamond. Already tall and still growing, Morales is a bit stretched at shortstop. He’ll stay at the position as long as possible, but he’s already not the twitchiest player and his above-average arm strength would play just fine if he had to make the move to third base. Morales turns in average run times now but should slow down as he ages.
The Future: After a star turn in the DSL, Morales will move stateside to the Arizona Complex League. He has the ceiling of a middle-order masher who lands on the left side of the infield, especially if he can improve his bat-to-ball skills and keep his body as lean as possible.

BA Grade: 50/Extreme
Track Record: Morales was one of the top offensive threats in the 2024 international signing class. The Dodgers made him their top international signing when he became eligible to sign on Jan. 15, 2024.
Scouting Report: Morales consistently strings together quality at-bats. He has a mature offensive approach, recognizes pitches well and has performed well against live pitching. It’s a sound swing for his age with power that has trended up as he has added strength to his lower half and should spike more in the coming years. Morales is an offensive-oriented shortstop who is built more like a third baseman, with many scouts believing he will slide over to third base in the near future. He’s a below-average runner who is a steady defender on the balls he gets to at shortstop with a solid-average arm, though his actions and mobility likely fit best at third base.
The Future: Morales will likely follow the path of recent top Dodgers international signings like Joendry Vargas by making his pro debut this year in the Dominican Summer League.
