Gabe Craig

Craig is a 6-foot-5, 209-pound righthander who spent six years in college, beginning at Tyler (Texas) JC, briefly transferring to Texas A&M, then returning to Tyler before finishing with three seasons at Baylor. He broke out in 2025 with a dominant senior campaign, posting a 0.59 ERA with 51 strikeouts and just three walks over 32 innings en route to first-team All-America honors. Craig throws from a whippy, low three-quarters slot and leans heavily on a sweeping mid-80s slider that flashes plus and served as his primary weapon. The pitch induced a 42% whiff rate and 38% chase rate in 2025. He complements it with a 93-95 mph fastball that touches 97 and features strong ride, drawing a 30% chase rate. An athletic mover with advanced command, Craig projects as a reliever at the next level due to his age and two-pitch mix, but he has the potential to move quickly through a system if he continues filling up the zone.
