Youngerman is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound righthander who pitched well for two seasons with NAIA Westmont (Calif.) before transferring to Oklahoma State in 2025. Youngerman pitched mostly out of the bullpen with Oklahoma State but has the control to start after walking just 3.9% of batters and limiting them to a .191 average this spring. He pitches heavily off his 93-95 mph fastball and has run the pitch up to 98 at peak. He consistently throws it for strikes at a high clip. Youngerman’s fastball also has plenty of induced vertical break. He also has a short, mid-80s slider/cutter and a mid-80s changeup. Youngerman relied a ton on his fastball and for good reason, considering hitters missed it a quarter of the time, but he’ll need to coax more out of the rest of his arsenal in pro ball. With a foundation of a strong fastball and enough strikes, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Youngerman get a chance to start upon turning pro.
