Track Record: Perez signed with the Dodgers in 2022 out of the Dominican Republic. A year later, he was one of two players to hit 11 home runs in the Arizona Complex League and then reached Low-A. He returned to Rancho Cucamonga in 2024, batting .264/.380/.420 before the White Sox acquired him at the trade deadline in a three-team deal. He finished the 2024 season at Low-A Kannapolis with similar numbers to what he put up prior to the trade.

Scouting Report: Perez stands close to the plate with efficient and quick hands, making hard contact and pulling the ball in the air with power. His swing is rotational through both the lower and upper halves. With a good approach, he controls the zone and can handle velocity. He’s mostly played second base since going to full-season ball. He’s an aggressive defender with good hands and solid actions but lacks mobility to play shortstop and doesn’t have the arm strength to be a regular at third base. Perez has gotten stronger since coming to the States, however there’s not a lot of physical projection remaining. He has slowed down as his body matured and speed won’t be a big part of his game.
