Scouting Report: An undersized switch-hitting infielder with the ability to play both second base and third base every day, Ramirez has a hit-over-power offensive profile. What he lacks in terms of impact, he makes up for with plus bat-to-ball skills and a discerning eye at the plate. Ramirez is more comfortable with his lefthanded swing, which translates to better production against righthanders. Ramirez has strong bat-to-ball skills as a righthanded hitter but a more aggressive approach. His power is below-average with fringy exit velocity data and lots of groundball contact. He dominated each level of Rookie ball, posting lines 50% better than the average player at each stop. Ramirez spent full seasons at each Class A level over the last two years. In 2024, he hit .284/.348/.381 with an 18.1% strikeout rate in his age-20 season with High-A South Bend.

Scouting Report: A short, compact and strong switch-hitting middle-infielder, Ramirez has a contact-oriented swing from the left side of the plate. Ramirez shows above-average bat-to-ball skills and is particularly adept at hitting breaking balls and offspeed. He struggles some with above-average fastball velocity, but overall handles fastballs well enough. While Ramirez’s swing and approach isn’t conducive for power hitting, his exit velocity data hints at more power to come. Ramirez’s 103.2 mph 90th percentile exit velocity and 109.8 mph max exit velocity are both above-average for age and level.
