Midseason Update: Samaniego has emerged as an intriguing sleeper prospect, even if it&#39s as a reliever only. He was a 15th-round selection in 2021 out of South Alabama and overpowered the competition this season at High-A Greensboro before a move to Double-A. He primarily works with a fastball he can run into the mid 90s as well as a nasty slider in the low 80s. His arsenal plays up thanks to some funk in his delivery as well.
