Bowen has one of the best combinations of physicality and tools in the 2026 high school class. He’s a strong, well-proportioned 6-foot-3 righthanded hitter with high-end bat speed and big raw power that could end up a plus to plus-plus tool. As an underclassman, Bowen had a sound swing but an elevated swing-and-miss rate with a tendency to expand the strike zone, leading to up-and-down game performance. So far in 2025, Bowen has shown a better approach, and the results have followed. Bowen’s plate discipline and bat-to-ball skills are the areas of his game that scouts will be watching closely because he has a plethora of other standout tools. Bowen is a plus runner, which gives him a chance to stay in center field, with a plus arm that would fit in right field if necessary. -

Bowen has one of the best combinations of physicality and tools in the 2026 high school class. He’s a strong, well-proportioned 6-foot-3, 215-pound righthanded hitter with high-end bat speed and big raw power that could end up a plus to plus-plus tool. Bowen showed swing-and-miss tendencies as an underclassmen, but during the 2025 showcase circuit he was consistently one of the most impressive in-game performers in the class. He showed improved swing decisions and was consistently on the barrel, with loud contact against all pitch types, making him one of the more exciting hit/power combos in the class. While Bowen is large, he’s a great runner for his size and has turned in plus run times. That should be enough to give him a chance to start his pro career in center field, and he has a plus arm that would fit nicely in right if he needs to move to a corner. Bowen is committed to Oregon State.
