Hirschkorn has more room to fill out his 6-foot-7 frame and add more power behind a fastball that already cruises in the low 90s and touches 95 mph. Hirschkorn doesn’t need much effort in his delivery to generate that velocity and he generates steep downhill plan from his high three-quarters slot. His slider gets into the low 80s at around 2,000-2,200 rpm, so while it’s a lower spin breaking ball, he has executed is effectively to the outer third against righthanded hitters to get empty swings. His 83-86 mph changeup is a third pitch he doesn’t use much yet. For such a young, long-levered pitcher, Hirschkorn has done a good job this summer throwing strikes with multiple strong outings to start the travel circuit. -
School: Kingsburg (Calif.) HS Committed/Drafted: Uncommitted. Age At Draft: 18.5
Hirschkorn was one of the biggest up-arrow prospects from the 2025 showcase circuit after turning in one of the most dominant outings scouts have seen at the Area Code Games. Pitching for the NorCal-based A’s team, Hirschkorn threw three innings, faced nine batters and sat all nine down on swinging strikeouts while showing a loud three-pitch mix. At 6-foot-7, 205 pounds, Hirschkorn has an elite pitcher’s frame with tons of room to fill out and add more strength. He works with a smooth and controlled delivery out of a three-quarters slot and throws a fastball that was consistently in the 92-95 mph range and up to 96. He bullies hitters in the zone with his fastball and then shows two promising secondaries to collect whiffs. The first is an 81-83 mph slider with 10-to-4 shape that’s a consistent swing-and-miss pitch to righties. The second is a firm, 86-89 mph changeup that gives him a miss offering vs. lefties. It’s a starter look with a body to dream on to go with both present stuff and strike-throwing polish.
