  Amalbert has been an up-arrow name in the Northeast with a good balance of skills at the plate and in the field. He has a fast righthanded swing, makes frequent contact and uses the whole field with power to the alleys that should start to turn into more home run juice with strength progression. He’s a tick above average as a runner with a strong arm and a chance to stick at shortstop.

  Amalbert has flown up draft boards in 2025 and was one of the most impressive hitters at the Area Code Games, where he went 6-for-11 (.545) with five singles, a double, four walks and three strikeouts. A 6-foot-1, 185-pound shortstop and righthanded hitter, Amalbert has a good blend of offensive and defensive tools. He has an upright, open stance with a high handset and a clean path that has solid pullside power in batting practice currently. While Amalbert is still learning to tap into that power in games, he has shown a polished approach and the ability to handle top-end velocity. He’s an above-average runner who’s instinctive and aggressive on the bases and has the tools to stick at shortstop with above-average arm strength. Amalbert is committed to Oklahoma.
