Jorvorskie Lane Sr. played three seasons in the NFL as a fullback for the Dolphins and Buccaneers after his time at Texas A&M, when he set the school record with 49 career rushing touchdowns. His son, Jorvorskie Lane Jr., is standing out for his athleticism on the baseball field. Lane has explosive hips and hands, generating excellent bat speed to fire the barrel through the zone. Lane is young for the class but between his ferocious bat speed and strength he already produces some of the best power in the 2026 high school class. It’s an aggressive approach and his swing can get big at times with issues making contact against breaking pitches. That creates a likely power-over-hit offensive profile with the potential for plus or better raw power in his future. Lane is an average to a tick above-average runner who has split time between catcher and the outfield. It’s not clear yet where he will end up, though he does have the arm strength for catcher, albeit with a longer release.
