Ebel is the son of Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel and the younger brother of infielder Brady Ebel, who the Brewers drafted in 2025 with the No. 32 overall pick. Trey is extremely young for the 2026 class—he won’t turn 18 until September after the draft—and a patient hitter with a short righthanded swing. He stays inside the ball well, uses the middle field and, while he isn’t a huge power threat now, the strength he’s added over the past year has led to more consistent quality contact. Ebel has the actions to stay in the infield with his first-step quickness and range probably fitting best at second or third base at higher levels.
