Sullivan has an elite fastball for his age. He’s up to 97 mph thanks to outstanding arm speed that he’s able to generate from his 6-foot frame. Sullivan throws both an upper-70s curveball (1,900-2,200 rpm) and mid-to-upper 80s slider (2,200-2,400 rpm), with his curveball flashing sharp action at times to miss bats, though both need refinement, and he has a firm changeup he doesn’t use much. There’s a lot of effort to his operation and a head jerk in his finish, which leads to scattered control, so some scouts view him as a future power reliever in pro ball, but he could vault up the board for teams if he shows more pitchability to go with his power stuff.
