Darden is one of the most electric athletes in the 2026 class. He’s a plus-plus runner with an explosive first step to handle center field, and he generates high-end bat speed to make loud contact when he connects. There’s still some rawness to his game that he will have to develop at the plate to improve his approach and cut down on swing-and-miss, but there aren’t many players in the class with his quick-twitch athleticism.
