  Track Record: When the Rockies signed Brito for $420,000 out of the Dominican Republic in 2024, they believed he was the best pure hitter in their international class. He has quickly lived up to that projection. Brito led the Arizona Complex League with a .368 batting average in 2025, and he posted the league’s second-best on-base percentage at .445 and third-best slugging percentage at .555. That earned him a promotion to Low-A Fresno, and he had the second-best batting average (.375) in the California League over the final month and a half of the season.
  
  Scouting Report: Brito can flat-out hit, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He was one of the standout performers in the ACL, impressing scouts with his plate discipline, a mature approach and an ability to work deep counts. A switch-hitter with developing pull-side power from both sides, Brito could grow into more over-the-fence pop as he fills out his athletic 5-foot-11 frame. His double-plus speed is a weapon. He stole 34 bases between the ACL and Low-A Fresno, though he was also caught 14 times, showing that he will need to refine his reads and instincts. In the field, Brito is versatile and twitchy. A shortstop when he signed, he now splits his time between second base and center field. His wheels fit in center but he remains a capable second baseman. Additional infield reps there could boost his value, and versatility always makes a prospect more attractive to his parent club. With a dynamic skill set and high-energy game, Brito has the tools to become an impact player.
  
  The Future: Some scouts say Brito’s swing and switch-hitting ability is reminiscent of Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo. Brito will be 19 in 2026 and likely will start at Low-A Fresno.
