School: Abilene Christian Drafted/Committed: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 21.6
Reid pitched as a starter and reliever for parts of two seasons with Oklahoma State before transferring to Abilene Christian in 2025, where he anchored the Wildcats’ rotation and boosted his draft stock in the process, going 6-3, 3.26 with 112 strikeouts in 88.1 innings. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound righthander leaned primarily on his 92-94 mph fastball that touched 96 and his low-80s changeup, which was by far his go-to secondary against both righties and lefties with a strong ability to land at the bottom of the zone. Batters missed his changeup 45% of the time in 2025. Reid also throws a breaking ball in the 78-83 mph range that varies between a three-quarter breaking ball and more of a sweepy slider. He has an athletic frame with some thickness in his lower half. Reid pitches with a simple delivery with a slight side step while attacking from a three-quarters slot with present arm speed. He did a nice job improving his control as a junior, giving him a chance to begin his pro career on a starter track.
