While the majority of prospects in Baseball America’s Top 100 Prospects and Top 30s are from the United States, a number of other countries are also well represented. To help spotlight this diversity in nationality, we’re ranking the best current prospects in a wide variety of countries. We are using a player’s birth country, although in some cases, that may differ from where a player grew up.

Best MLB Player Ever: You could fill out a roster of All-Stars led by numerous Hall of Famers from Dominican-born players. DH David Ortiz, OF Vladimir Guerrero Sr., RHP Juan Marichal, RHP Pedro Martinez and 3B Adrian Beltré are all Hall of Famers, while 1B/3B Albert Pujols is just waiting for his first year of eligibility to join them.

And that doesn’t include other stars like OFs Manny Ramirez, Sammy Sosa and César Cedeño, the ageless Julio Franco or the Alou brothers.

Best MLB Player Now: Juan Soto

Mets outfielder Juan Soto has the largest contract in baseball and is one of the game’s biggest stars. 3B José Ramírez has been the Guardians’ linchpin for years. RF Fernando Tatis Jr. is a consistent All-Star for the Padres. Sandy Alcantara, Luis Castillo, Framber Valdez and Freddy Peralta ensure that the country is well represented on the mound, as well.

Top Prospect: Jesús Made

The D.R. has three of the top 10 prospects in the game right now, but Brewers shortstop Jesús Made leads the list as the No. 3 prospect in baseball. Just a year ago, Made was playing in the Dominican Summer League All-Star Game. Now, he’s playing in Double-A Biloxi to finish out an excellent first full pro season in the U.S.

This is a list that goes 25 deep, but it could easily go 100+ deep. There are over 130 Dominican-born prospects in current team Top 30s, and a large number of addition prospects who are in Top 30 consideration.
